Omega-3 Fatty Acids And Their Unique
Effects On Arthritis.
Arthritis, in all its different forms, is an
ever-increasing disease of our times.
To the vast majority of people with aches and
pains, limping and hobbling about throughout their day,
it is just another part of growing older.
I remember my 60-year-old uncle laughing at me
when I told him that I had a few aches and
pains.
"We've all got those" he said it just means that you're
getting older.

It is commonly accepted that getting older is
the wearing out of our body joints and the aches and
pains that accompany the ageing process is just a fact of
life.
This is a completely false
premise.
Many people also believe that the inset of
arthritic ailments is to do with the climate where you
live, your employment or occupation.
But this is also false. Arthritis has nothing
to do with your job, getting wet on a building site or
anything else job related. Your occupation no matter how
hard you work will not wear out your joints.
Arthritis has nothing to do with the weather or
the climatic conditions where you live. There are people
suffering with arthritis in the cold damp hills of
Scotland and the sunny heat of California.
Discover the cause of arthritis and find
the cure.
The basic cause of arthritis is that the
lubricating fluid in the joints gets too
thin. It
doesn't lubricate properly, the joints become stiff and
difficult to move.
When human joints lack the proper lubricating
fluid, various parts of the joint, the cartilage, joint
lining, begin to rub and grind against one
another. The
friction causes stiffness, then irritation and finally
inflammation of the joints.
How To Resist And Repel The Painful
Misery Of Arthritis.
"ARTH" means Joint and
"ITIS" means inflammation. Arthritis can be cured
by good nutrition and a proper diet. A common fact
concerning arthritis is that they are suffering from a
lack of OIL BEARING
FOODS. Basically your body is
drying out.
All arthritis, regardless of the symptoms, has
the same basic cause, poorly lubricated joints;
unfortunately each person reacts differently bringing
about the diverse forms of arthritis.
The basic cause of the unnecessary disease
called "Arthritis" is that the
lubricating fluid in the joints gets too
thin. It
doesn't lubricate properly, the joints become stiff and
difficult to move.
When your human joints lack the proper
lubricating fluid various parts of the joint---the
cartilage and joint lining begin to rub and grind against
one another.
The friction causes stiffness, and then it begins to ache
and finally inflammation of the joints sets
in.
If friction causes the cartilage to wear away it
is called "Osteoarthritis". If the lining of the
joints suffers it is called "Rheumatoid
arthritis".
People who do not suffer from
arthritis have joint fluids that are over 15 times
thicker and more viscous than the fluid in the arthritic
joint.
So what do you do to cure
Arthritis?
Now we know what you have to achieve, you have
got to get oils back into your aching joints and
bones.
It is now an accepted fact that joint linings
can take in nutritional oils directly from the blood
stream and cartilage can absorb oils from the lining
through osmosis.
When the engine of your car starts to seize up
and you crawl to a halt what do you do, providing you
haven't let it go too far, you check out the oil, and if
the oil is too low you just purchase a can of good
quality oil and pour it into the engine.
The same applies to your body; you pour good
quality oil into the joints and bones of your
body.
What kind of oil?
An oil that contains high levels of
the Omega-3 essential fatty
acids,
DHA (docosahexaeroc) and EPA (eicosapertaenoic)
acids.
It was discovered that Omega-3s, among their
many other health benefits, are powerful
anti-inflammatory agents.
The body cannot manufacture them; they must come
from the diet.
Omega-3 vegetable sources do exist (Flaxseed,
walnuts and rapeseed for example) but the body is
invariably unable to convert the Omega-3 linolenic acid
they supply into useful DHA and EPA forms. They are much
less likely to produce real benefits.
Oily fish, fish oil supplements are almost the
only readily available sources of Omega-3 DHA and EPA
that reduce levels of potent chemicals in the
body.
Omega-3 oil has been effective as an
arthritis cure for hundreds of years.
Omega-3 Fatty Acids can be your greatest ally as
an anti-arthritic agent. This oily substance has
no equal. No
matter where arthritis strikes in your body, the
lubricating properties of this oil can alleviate the
problem.
Essential fatty acids are the building blocks of
the membranes and all the cells in your body, they are
essential to your life and health
and MUST be obtained from the
diet.
There are about 20 essential fatty acids (EFA`S)
and all but two Omega-6 and Omega-3
can be produced by the body.
Omega-6 and Omega-3 are polyunsaturated and can
only be obtained from your diet, and they should be
consumed in a balance of 2 or 3 times more Omega-6 than
Omega-3.
As long as your body is provided with the proper
balance of Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acids along with the
right combination of Vitamins and Minerals you will enjoy
good health, and be free from arthritis.
However as a result of the increased consumption
of polyunsaturated vegetable oils and margarines over the
past few decades the balance has been thrown to the four
winds.
We are consuming at a balance of 7-8 times more
Omega-6 than Omega-3, resulting in our cells producing a
prostaglandin that is pro-inflammatory, encouraging blood
clotting with potentially disastrous
consequences.
You need to increase your Omega-3
intake. Omega-3 EFA's have been strongly associated
with:
-
Relief of inflammatory
conditions, arthritis,psoriasis,crohns
disease.
-
Protection against heart disease,
thrombosis, strokes.
-
Prevention of certain
cancers: colon, breast and
prostrate.
-
-
Depression and
schizophrenia.
The Omega-3 Essential fatty acids
to cure your arthritis has to be of the highest quality
and strength
In Summary:
To receive the many benefits of DHA you have to
consider ensuring that you do as follows:
-
Find a source of fish oil
that is high in DHA or
alternatively is prepared to take much higher
doses of conventional fish
oil.
-
Ensure that the fish oil you
use is molecularly
distilled.
-
Try to find the oil in the Ester
form for better
bioavailability
-
Make sure it is fish oil from the
unpoluted Southern Hemisphere
waters.
